- Principals of Lane Steel bought the Lockhart Complex, which has 330,000 square feet and 14,000 square feet of office space. The Lockhart Complex continues to be operated in the same manner.

- Paul D. Gedeon, President of Lane Steel, won the SMALL BUSINESS OF W. PA award. This was a great moment for Lane Steel to be recognized as an outstanding company.

- Added 46,000 square feet of leased warehouse space. This new building includes three truck-unloading bays, two 32-ton overhead cranes, and will be used primarily for master coil storage.

- Replaced McKay Cut-To-Length Line with a refurbished 72" Stamco Level Line, capable of handling coils up to 60,000# and thicknesses to .500".
